Your mission
- Implementation of internal AML/KYC due diligence procedures for the acceptance of clients and the ongoing review of client files (including AML/KYC risk assessment, sanctions screening, adverse media checks, UBO identification, KYC review) to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing
- Initial and ongoing review of business/transaction partners
- Maintenance and further development of the customer/business/transaction partner database
- Organising and executing automated KYC screening under the direction of the MLRO
- Supporting the MLRO in the implementation of existing and development of new processes
- Preparation of AML risk profiles for the funds under management
- Support in the preparation of AML risk reports e.g. for the Managing Director/Board of Directors meetings
- Interaction with clients, business or transaction partners regarding request and follow up of documentation requirements
- Daily processing of customer enquiries and their follow-up
- Support in the investor onboarding process (preparation of subscription forms, coordination of register opening documents, coordination of the subscription process with the Empira Group's Client Solutions team)
Your profile
- Successfully completed vocational training or a degree in law or economics
- First relevant professional experience in the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing as well as the legitimisation and identification of natural and legal persons from different jurisdictions
- Sound knowledge of the legal and regulatory AML/CTF requirements in Luxembourg
- Independent, diligent, solution- and team-orientated as well as quality- and responsibility-conscious way of working
- Discretion in dealing with confidential information
- Very good knowledge of office communication software (MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills (written and verbal) in German and English (basic knowledge of French is desirable) as well as the ability to present complex issues in a way that is understandable to third parties
